Parents,
We are currently in year two of the LEARNS implementation cycle and during year three - the 2025-2026 school year - all students who are Arkansas residents are eligible for an EFA (Educational Freedom Account). EFAs are NOT income based and will cover the majority of tuition; all families are expected to apply. At a meeting last week, we learned that families can apply NOW for an EFA for next school year. We realize this may seem premature, but EFAs will be awarded on a first come, first serve basis in the spring and we want to make sure there is funding for all of our students.
Note: the only option available is 24-25 but we are told you should continue with that for now. Please put the grade the student is in for 24-25. Incoming Kindergarteners will have to wait to apply until Spring when the new platform opens due to birthdates.
To apply, please go to https://efa.ade.arkansas.gov/users/sign_up. You will need to create an account and will have to upload a copy of your child's birth certficate and your driver's license as proof of Arkansas residents.
For families who have an EFA for one student, you will use the same login information and click My Applications: New Application to add other students.
Students who currently have an EFA - no action is required at this time. These will renew in the Spring.
