Your Support Matters at SHCS!

Since 1879, Sacred Heart has high quality academic programs integrated with religious truth and values that prepare students for lifeand leadership in both society and the Church of tomorrow. We provide a strong, basic and contemporary curriculum which includes instruction and formation in the beliefs, values and traditions of Catholic Christianity.

Today, Sacred Heart continues this tradition, thanks to the generous support of our donors. Sacred Heart is supported by variety of revenue streams, including contributions from Sacred Heart Church, the annual Sacred Heart Bazaar, Oktoberfest, investment income, and other volunteer-initiated campaigns throughout the year. As the school looks toward the future, we are taking a proactive approach to ensure our longevity and our commitment to academic quality.

We ask you, our strongest supporters, to join us in this effort. With your help, we can build a strong campaign that will contribute to the advancement of Sacred Heart. Thanks to your support over the years, we have made significant improvements to our campus and technology and have developed strong tuition assistance revenue streams.  With that in mind, we are turning our development focus to building sustainable funding for teacher recruitment and retention.  In addition to supporting annual salary increases for our faculty and staff, our longterm plan is to build a fund that ensures that our salaries are more competitive and our teachers are better supported.  Our teachers are the key to the success of our students and our school and we appreciate you joining us in this effort.

SUPPORTING TEACHERS:
We recognize and value the excellent teachers who teach at Sacred Heart despite the inherent personal financial sacrifice. It is increasingly difficult to hire and retain quality teachers. The Kathleen Smith Teacher Fund will allow us to support the school’s annual salary needs and to build a comprehensive long range plan in support of our teachers.  When you donate to the Sacred Heart Annual Fund - with a one-time or recurring gift as part of Project Promise of on they Day of Giving - you are helping to grow this fund and improve our school for years to come. Although it is named for Ms. Kathleen Smith, the Teacher Recruitment and Retention Fund is meant to honor and recognize all those who have and continue to serve as educators at Sacred Heart. Funds raised through Project Promise will benefit this effort.

For as Pope John Paul said, “… no Catholic school can be effective without dedicated Catholic teachers, convinced of the great ideal of Catholic education. The Church needs men and women who are intent on teaching by word and example – intent on helping to permeate the whole educational milieu with the spirit of Christ. This is a great vocation, and the Lord himself will reward all who serve in it as educators in the cause of the word of God.” – Message of John Paul II to the National Catholic Educational Association of the United States, April 16, 1979

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

You are invited to join other alumni and supporters of Catholic education in a leadership group that is propelling our school into the new century equipped with the resources to enhance and strengthen the school’s high quality academic programs which are integrated with religious truth and values.
