Your Support Matters at SHCS!

Since 1879, Sacred Heart has high quality academic programs integrated with religious truth and values that prepare students for lifeand leadership in both society and the Church of tomorrow. We provide a strong, basic and contemporary curriculum which includes instruction and formation in the beliefs, values and traditions of Catholic Christianity.

Today, Sacred Heart continues this tradition, thanks to the generous support of our donors. Sacred Heart is supported by variety of revenue streams, including contributions from Sacred Heart Church, the annual Sacred Heart Bazaar, OctoberFest, investment income, and other volunteer-initiated campaigns throughout the year. As the school looks toward the future, we are taking a proactive approach to ensure our longevity and our commitment to academic quality.

We ask you, our strongest supporters, to join us in this effort. With your help, we can build a strong campaign that will contribute to the advancement of Sacred Heart. With an emphasis on development, we can provide tuition assistance for students who could otherwise not attend Sacred Heart, encourage excellence in education through improved teacher recruitment and retention, and provide needed improvements in technology and student materials.

Sacred Heart School is a special place. As one of the only two remaining Pre-K – 12th grade Catholic Schools in Arkansas, our school is still thriving thanks to generous donor support and the prayers of many families over many generations.

Tuition only accounts for half of the cost to educate our students.  Therefore, it is imperative that we continue to seek funds to support our Teachers, Tuition Assistance, and Technology – as well as any other school needs – even as we improve our campus. We accomplish this through our Annual Fund.

On January 29-30, 2019, along with hundreds of Catholic schools across the country, Sacred Heart participated in Many Gifts, One Nation: a Day of Giving to Catholic Schools. Gifts UP TO $30,000 made to SH on this day were matched, thanks to the generosity of Koontz Electric Co., Inc., Stell Farms, and the Maus/Hartman families (in memory of Jeff Maus, '84).   However, our donors exceeded expectations and donated over $53,000.  Combined with our matching dollars, over $83,000 was raised, making Sacred Heart the highest raising school IN THE NATION on the Day of Giving!

Sacred Heart will participate in the Day of Giving again in 2020 so check back here for details.

In the meantime, we gladly accept one-time donations, which can be given via paypal online or by mail to 106 N. St. Joseph, Morrilton, AR 72110 - or you can enroll in our monthly giving club, Project Promise

Project Promise

Today's Promise for Tomorrow's Future

Project Promise recognizes donors who commit to a monthly donation to Sacred Heart Catholic School through ongoing credit card payments or bank drafts. This includes any donor who gives at least $15/month to the school’s annual fund. You choose the amount you want to pledge and you may cancel your monthly gift at any time simply by notifying us in writing.**

Project Promise Members Receive

  • A special members-only magnet – as a reminder of the difference you are making and as our thank you gift to you
  • A tax letter acknowledging your cumulative annual contribution, mailed each January.
  • Recognition in The HeartBeat newsletters and Annual Report

If you would like to join us in Today’s Promise for Tomorrow’s Future by becoming a member of Project Promise, please complete and return the FORM.

Your monthly gift of $15 – just 50 cents per day – can help Sacred Heart continue the promise of Catholic education. Your donation will help support three key priorities - the 3 Ts:

  • Technology Improvements. Think new computers, internet servers and filters for student safety, wireless capability and tablets for classroom use
  • Tuition Assistance. We want to serve every child - every family - that desires a Catholic education. Tuition assistance helps accomplish this.
  • Teacher Recruitment and Retention. Maintaining high academic standards, as evidenced by our above average ACT scores and scholarship awards, is strongly linked to our dedicated faculty.

Your gift also helps "bridge the gap" between tuition and the cost of education.  In face, tuition only covers about 50% of the school's operating budget; the rest comes from donor support and fundraising events, such as the bazaar.  The support of donors like you has enabled Sacred Heart to make needed campus improvements over the years.
